Our Craft Room and Meeting area is the hub of social activities at the Shed.
The Arduino Boys
Some of our members are fascinated with the latest micro robotics processors. One project involved getting a solar panel to follow the sun — testing the sensors and finally building a working device.
Computers
We have 5 or 6 networked computers and have been comparing different operating systems including Windows, Linux and Android.
This facility proved so popular that the local computer club joined us — Computer Shed now meets here on Tuesday afternoons. Ladies welcome.
Kitchen
Most Mondays we have bacon butties at lunchtime courtesy of one of our members.
We have also teamed up with the NYCC adult learning team who from time to time run cookery demonstrations — we have made everything from soup and curry to fairy cakes. Tasting is the most popular part.
